Move Forward This Fall at Mid Michigan College

Whether you're preparing for a new career, planning to transfer to a university, or returning to finish what you started, there's still time to register for the Fall Semester at Mid Michigan College. Courses begin Monday, August 31, and with flexible online and on-campus options, Mid makes it easier to fit college into your life.

For many students, getting started is also more affordable than ever. Tuition-free opportunities through the Michigan Community College Guarantee and Michigan Reconnect allow eligible students to attend Mid with little to no out-of-pocket tuition costs.

"There's never been a better time to take that next step," said Beth Binder, Director of Admissions at Mid. "Whether students know exactly where they want to go or are still exploring their options, Mid provides the support, flexibility, and hands-on learning experiences to help them move forward with confidence. Registering early also gives students the best opportunity to build a schedule that fits their life. Our Admissions team and Mid Mentors are here to help every step of the way."

This fall, students will benefit from newly renovated learning spaces, expanded transfer partnerships, and Programs and Pathways that continue to align with the region's workforce needs. From healthcare and advanced manufacturing to engineering, education, and the arts, students can find affordable pathways that move them toward meaningful careers and advanced degrees.

Help People Heal

Mid's Physical Therapist Assistant students graduate with extensive real-world experience, completing 720 hours of clinical education, including two full-time clinical placements during their final semester. Every student is guaranteed the clinical experiences required for graduation, with opportunities to explore specialty areas such as pediatrics or pelvic health.

Mid's faculty continue to practice in clinical settings, bringing current industry experience into every classroom and lab. Students graduate prepared for the national licensing exam and successful careers, with every graduate seeking full-time employment over the past five years securing a position after graduation.

Build What’s Next

Students interested in precision manufacturing and machining can build in-demand technical skills through Mid's Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM) Program, including the Machine Tool Technology Pathway. Students learn in Mid's state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Labs on both the Harrison Campus and in the newly renovated Morey Technical Education Center on the Mt. Pleasant Campus, gaining experience with the equipment and technologies used throughout today's manufacturing industry.

Design the Future

Mid's Engineering Pathways give students an affordable way to complete foundational coursework before transferring into bachelor's degree programs in chemical, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or nuclear engineering. Students build strong skills in math, science, and engineering while saving thousands on the cost of their degree.

Inspire the Next Generation

Future educators can begin their teaching careers through Mid's Education Pathways, including Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Para-to-Pro. Students can continue seamlessly through partnerships with Alma College and Northern Michigan University, including a new 3+1 option that creates an affordable pathway to a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.

Create Without Limits

Students with creative talents can begin building their artistic portfolio through Mid's Visual Arts Transfer Pathway before transferring into bachelor's degree programs in visual arts, graphic design, illustration, animation, and related fields. Small class sizes and experienced faculty help students develop both technical skills and creative confidence.

Prospective students can apply online, explore Mid's Programs and Pathways, and learn more about tuition-free opportunities at midmich.edu. Students with questions can contact Admissions at admissions@midmich.edu or (989) 386-6661.

Current and returning students are encouraged to connect with their Mid Mentor to finalize their schedule before the semester begins.
