Mid's Morey Event Center build is currently underway!

The Morey Event Center will host a wide range of activities, including Laker Athletics, student events, community gatherings, and professional development opportunities. This location will enhance the College's ability to engage with the local community, foster partnerships, and support extracurricular activities that enrich the student experience. It's an exciting time to be a Laker!

Key Highlights

The Morey Event Center is a significant investment in the Mt. Pleasant Campus and the community.

  • Event space for commencement, student activities, athletic camps, job fairs, speakers, and community events.
  • Athletic space for Mid’s basketball and volleyball teams and training space for all other teams.
  • A weight room for students, along with lockers, classrooms, concessions, and offices.
  • 36,700 sq.ft. sitting on Mid’s 49-acre campus—fully integrated into the Campus Master Plan.
  • Bleacher seating for about 1,000 with additional seating on the floor.
  • Completion expected in late Fall 2026.
  • Expected investment of $15,600,000 funded by Mid and community partners.
