Laker Men’s Basketball Player, Amonti Greene, Plays in NJCAA All-Stars Game

Mid Michigan College Men’s Basketball point guard Amonti Greene (Mt. Pleasant) recently represented the Lakers at the 2026 NJCAA Men’s Basketball All-Star Game on May 9, competing for the South Team in a hard-fought 79-73 matchup against the North Team.

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) is the governing body for two-year college athletics in the United States. This year, the NJCAA Men’s Basketball Coaches Association hosted its 16th annual All-Star Game in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Amonti was one of just six players to receive an individual award, earning the Chris DePew Small Man Award, which recognizes the NJCAA’s top-performing smaller-statured guard.

“Watching Amonti grow as a player during his time at Mid has been an honor. His spot on the All-Stars team was well earned, and I am excited to see where his basketball career takes him,” said Kaleb House, Mid Michigan College’s Men’s Basketball Head Coach.

Mid Michigan College competes in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) and the NJCAA.

Mid currently fields teams in men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s bowling, women’s bowling, baseball, softball, men’s cross country, women’s cross country, and co-ed clay target shooting.
