Community Invited to Student Showcase Events

Mid Michigan College is welcoming the public to experience student creativity, innovation, and achievement at its annual Student Showcase, taking place on both campuses this April.

Designed to highlight student work across disciplines, the showcase offers community members, families, and local partners an opportunity to explore projects, engage with students, and see firsthand the impact of a Mid education.

The Harrison Campus event is scheduled for 8:30am–1pm on Tuesday, April 21, in the Technical Education Center, with awards presented at 12:30pm. The Mt. Pleasant Campus event takes place 10am–3pm on Wednesday, April 22, in the Community Room, with awards presented at 2:30pm.

“The Student Showcase is a powerful opportunity for students to share their work beyond the classroom,” said Amy Dykhouse, Director of Student Accommodations, Mid’s Career Center, and a Student Showcase Committee Member. “It brings together students, faculty, staff, and community members in a meaningful way, while helping students strengthen skills like critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving.”

Exhibits feature a wide range of student projects, including research papers, speeches, sculptures, short films, posters, and live demonstrations from both general education and career-technical programs.

Community members are encouraged to attend, connect with students, and celebrate the talent and innovation happening at Mid.
