Mid Michigan College has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation to support the renovation of the Morey Technical Education Center on the College’s Mt. Pleasant Campus.

The Consumers Energy Foundation is proud to support Mid Michigan College’s renovation, which will equip students with the skills and experience needed to thrive in Michigan’s rapidly evolving technical and manufacturing industries,” said Cathy Wilson, secretary and treasurer of the Consumers Energy Foundation. “Their work aligns with our commitment to workforce development and ensuring everyone has access to cutting-edge training and career opportunities.”
The renovation project is focused on aligning the Center with Industry 4.0 standards, ensuring students are trained on cutting-edge technologies and prepared for today’s most in-demand technical careers.

Originally constructed in 2015 through a donation from the Morey Foundation, the Morey Technical Education Center is now poised to become a hub for next-generation workforce development.
