Yes. As a new student, you must meet with a Mid Mentor who can help you understand what you need to do.
Yes! In most cases, you can get financial aid to help pay for college.
To find out what you qualify for, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) with Mid's School Code 006768. Your FAFSA may determine your eligibility for
- Grants—money you generally don’t have to repay.
- Scholarships—awards based on eligibility or achievement.
- Work-Study—opportunities to earn money while attending college.
- Student Loans—money you borrow and repay later.
At Mid Michigan College, some students may also qualify for tuition-free options, including Michigan Reconnect and the Community College Guarantee.
Start with the FAFSA. It’s the best way to see what financial aid you may be eligible to receive.
The State of Michigan offers free college options to qualifying students: Michigan Reconnect and the Community College Guarantee (CCG).
- Michigan Reconnect is available to eligible Michigan residents age 21 and older. Additional eligibility requirements apply.
- CCG eligibility depends on residency, graduation, and other requirements.
Your cost depends on your residency, course load, financial aid eligibility, and other factors. You may also qualify for tuition-free opportunities.

Laker Login & Mid Mich Email
It is vital that you check your Mid Mich Email regularly so you don’t miss important information or deadlines. Visit midmich.edu/account for instructions.
Privacy PIN
To help protect your personal information, we’re adding a new step to verify your identity. You’ll need to set up a Privacy PIN. This PIN is used anytime you contact us about your records—like financial aid, registration, or grades.
What To Do
- Log in to Self-Service using your Laker Login.
- Click your user name in the upper-right corner.
- Click Student Records Release.
- Click Add Person/Relationship and complete the information for SELF. Make sure to choose a number you’ll remember, but others won’t guess.
Why This Matters
- This helps us keep your information safe and make sure we’re only sharing it with you.
Important!
- If you don’t have your Privacy PIN set up, we won’t be able to discuss certain details over the phone.
- If you forget your Privacy PIN, call Mid's Registration & Records team at (989) 776-6622 x453 for assistance.

Transcripts
Request your high school transcripts and any dual/concurrent enrollment college transcripts via mail or in electronic format. Deliver them to Mid through any of the following methods.
High School Transcripts
- Email a copy to admissions@midmich.edu
- Mail them to Mid Michigan College ATTN Admissions 1375 South Clare Avenue, Harrison, MI 48625
- Drop them off in person at either campus
High School Transcripts can also be sent via Parchment. Visit parchment.com and request that an electronic version be sent to Mid Michigan College. It's fast, easy, and secure. And if you're still in high school, it's free. If you've graduated, it's only $3.25.
Dual/Concurrent Enrollment (College) Transcripts
Request your official transcripts through your previous college's electronic transcript service, such as Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse. Send them to Mid Michigan College or enrollment@midmich.edu.
Test Scores
When you take the SAT or ACT, you can indicate Mid as a recipient school. If you have already taken the SAT or ACT, you can deliver your score in person, via email, mail, or fax using the contact information listed above.
You can also sign in to your College Board account and request that Mid receive an electronic copy of your test scores. For more information, visit College Board.
Placement Testing
Appropriate placement in courses promotes your success and allows us to assist you in selecting courses that align with your current skill levels. If you do not have access to transcripts or test scores, you may need to do additional placement testing. Your Mid Mentor can help you determine what testing needs to be completed.
