Both Let’s Talk and Individual sessions can be done in person or virtually.
Individual counseling sessions are approximately 45-50 minutes long. Sessions are a place where you can process through concerns related to your mental/emotional wellbeing, receive feedback, strategies, and support from a mental health professional and work towards goals related to your mental health and wellness.
Let’s Talk meetings are informal meetings where students can briefly meet with a Mid counselor to consult about specific problems. These meetings are a great way for students who have never seen a counselor before to learn about the therapy process. These consultations can also be a great way for students to seek a counselor's perspective on a particular issue. As part of these meetings, we can assist with referrals to on-campus and off-campus resources.
