New Pathways

Agriculture

  • Mid offers several agriculture-related pathways so you can pursue a degree that gets you right to work or prepares you to pursue a bachelor’s or more advanced degree.
  • Career-Ready Pathways include Associate in Applied Science Degrees and Training Credentials in Agriculture Business and Farm Management & Operations.
  • Mid's Transfer-Focused Pathways in Agriculture Science allow you to focus your studies in three main areas—Agriculture Business, Animal Science, or Crop and Soil Science.

Advanced Integrated Manufacturing

  • Mid has several pathways that connect to the manufacturing field. From Automation & Robotics to Machine Tool, Plastics, Welding, Management, and Pre-Apprentice credentials, you can explore the many skills and careers that connect to the manufacturing industry at Mid.
  • NEW! Mid's New AIM Lab in Mt. Pleasant is scheduled to open in Summer 2025!

Improved Options

Medical Assistant

  • Medical Assistants provide both clinical and administrative support to doctors and other health care professionals. Mid offers two pathways to help you start a medical assisting career. Our associate degree and 10-month training credential provide you with the necessary skills to succeed as a medical assistant.

IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

  • This pathway is 100% online, recognized as an official Cisco Networking Academy, and prepares you to maintain information technology (IT) components. Cybersecurity-specific courses within the pathway prepare you to protect IT systems from hacking attempts. Graduates in this field are in high demand and typically earn salaries above the average. 

Engineering

  •  Mid’s Engineering Pathways allow you to explore this diverse field that can lead to careers in research, education, and many others. Plus, you can prepare for a career directly after college or earn credits you can transfer to a four-year school as you begin your journey toward a more advanced degree. Pathways include Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Mechanical Engineering.
