Mid to Host Free Trunk or Treat in Harrison

Families are invited to celebrate Halloween at Mid Michigan College’s Trunk or Treat event from 5pm–7pm Thursday, October 22, at the Harrison Campus Poet Family Outdoor Education Center, 1375 South Clare Avenue.

This free community event gives children and families an opportunity to enjoy a safe, festive evening of Halloween fun. Guests can dress up, collect candy, and explore creatively decorated vehicles while spending time together at Mid’s Harrison Campus.

Admission is free and open to everyone. No registration is required for families attending the event.
Community members, organizations, and others who would like to hand out candy or other goodies from a decorated vehicle may register their vehicle—there is no charge, but registration is required for planning purposes. Participants are encouraged to dress up and decorate their vehicles or trunks to add to the Halloween fun.

A trunk decorating contest will also be held, with prizes awarded in three categories.

• Best Overall Trunk — Most creative and impressive overall
• Spookiest Trunk — Best Halloween or spooky theme
• Funniest Trunk — Most humorous and entertaining

“Events like the Trunk or Treat give us another opportunity to open our campus to the community and create a place where families can connect and have fun together,” said Autumn Matthews, Director of Workforce & Economic Engagement at Mid.
