Smith Truck Body Honored with Michigan SBDC Best Small Business Award at Michigan Celebrates Small Gala

Smith Truck Body, LLC, a custom truck builder specializing in hook lift and roll-off truck systems, was recognized recently at the Michigan Celebrates Small Business gala in Lansing. The company received the Michigan Small Business Development Center (Michigan SBDC) Best Small Business Award.

The  Michigan SBDC provides support services to small businesses across the state. Each regional office selects a company demonstrating a strong relationship with the organization and significant business success to receive this award. The Mid Michigan regional office chose Smith Truck Body for its

Curtis Smith, owner of Smith Truck Body, has worked closely with the  Mid Michigan regional office. "The Michigan SBDC, and particularly my consultant David Vajda, have been instrumental in our growth," said Smith. "They provided invaluable assistance in refining our business plan, securing financing, and navigating the challenges of expansion. This award is a testament to the hard work of our team and the support we've received from the Michigan SBDC."

Smith Truck Body has experienced significant growth, expanding its operations, increasing its workforce, and substantially increasing sales. The company is known for its custom truck builds, heavy-duty truck parts, and comprehensive service for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles.
