Mid Michigan College is hosting a team toss challenge event and scholarship giveaway at the Harrison vs Gladwin high school basketball game on Friday, December 13 in Harrison.
College representatives and current students will be at the game starting at 6pm with free popcorn, purchased through the local sports boosters association, and swag giveaways.
“We encourage community members to attend the game, support local student-athletes, and learn more about the College,” explained Beth Binder, Director of Admissions at Mid.
During halftime, two students from each participating high school will be selected to compete in the Team Toss Challenge! One team member will be blindfolded and the other team member will line them up in front of the basket. The goal... to make as many baskets in 1 minute as possible! Whichever team makes the most baskets wins. Both members of the winning team will receive a $500 scholarship to Mid Michigan College. The remaining participants will each receive a $100 scholarship to Mid.
Harrison and Gladwin high school students can register for a chance to participate at midmich.edu/team-toss-challenge or by connecting with a Mid Admissions Representative at their school the week of the game.
“The College has always been a community partner and is continuing efforts to support local communities and students of all ages across mid-Michigan,” noted Binder.
