Registration for fall courses at Mid Michigan College is available now and courses start Monday, August 26 on campus and online.
“Helping students find their passion, achieve their goals, and own their opportunities is always top-of-mind as we near the start of a new semester,” said Beth Binder, Director of Admissions at Mid. “We continue to expand the number of programs, credentials, and services available on campus and online so we can support students when and where it works for them.”
In addition to on-campus options, Mid offers courses and degrees that can be completed online in formats that provide the ultimate in flexibility for students who are working, caring for family members, and adjusting to the wide variety of challenges life can bring during a semester.
“While the fall semester might seem far away, we encourage new and continuing students to register early,” explained Binder. “This will ensure they are able to shape a schedule that works best for them, and there are other perks as well, like saving on your enrollment fee and having time to apply for various available resources.”
The Michigan Achievement Scholarship is a new resource is available for high school graduates. Eligible students can receive up to $2,750 per year at Mid for up to three years.
“To determine eligibility, students just need to complete the FAFSA, simple as that,” noted Binder. “We hope to see many students take advantage of this opportunity as this will make enrolling at Mid even more affordable, and in some cases with little to no out-of-pocket expense.”
Mid’s Financial Aid team is available to help all students complete the FAFSA for the upcoming academic year.
“We know the FAFSA has been challenging this year, and we want students to know that we’re here to help,” shared Michelle McNier, Director of Financial Aid at Mid. “There’s still plenty of time to apply for and receive financial aid!”
“Students who are 21 years of age and older should definitely consider utilizing the Michigan Reconnect scholarship program,” noted Binder. “For a limited time, students 21 and up are eligible— contact us today to see if you qualify!”
