Three Mid Michigan College Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) students recently received recognition for their academic excellence at an event hosted by the Michigan Community College Association. Students from 25 Michigan community colleges were recognized for their academic achievement, community service involvement, and leadership accomplishments.

“It was such an honor to attend this event and see our students celebrated,” shared Mid Michigan College President Tim Hood. “Our students lead rich, full lives, but still find the time to be excellent students as well. We are all so proud of them and their achievements!”
The mission of PTK is to recognize the academic achievement of two-year college students and to provide opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders.
Mid launched a Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter in 1989—one of nearly 1,300 PTK chapters in 11 nations. Over the past 33 years, Mid’s chapter has earned and maintained the highest level of achievement—a 5 Star Chapter. Through chapter and individual projects, members have served the College and surrounding communities.
