Working on campus while attending Mid Michigan College is a great option for students who are interested in gaining valuable experience, earning monies to offset their educational investment, and making meaningful connections with experienced professionals.
Students who are eligible for Federal Work Study
Work Study is a part of your federal financial aid.
Eligibility is determined by your FAFSA submission. If you are interested in Work Study, you should answer “YES” to the question that asks if you would like to be considered for Work Study. Please note that answering "YES" does not automatically qualify you for Work Study.
Students who are not eligible for Federal Work Study
If you do not qualify for Work Study, you can still apply and be hired for on-campus jobs to help offset educational costs.
Follow these steps if you are interested in working on campus.
Apply through the External Applicant Portal on the Jobs@Mid page.
If you are currently a student worker, then you may apply through the Internal Applicant Portal.
Students looking for employment with Mid may view student positions by typing their job titles, e.g. "Student Worker", "Intern", "Tutor", "Technician", or "Supplemental Instruction Leader", in the search bar to display current student employment related openings.
Talk to the department(s) for which you are interested in working. Learn about their role within the College and how you might contribute. Ask if they have openings. Let them know that you are interested.
Don’t be discouraged if you don’t hear anything right away about your application. Positions become open multiple times throughout the semester, and hiring managers frequently need to make changes due to scheduling conflicts, etc.
