Mid Michigan College announced today that President Tim Hood will retire effective June 30, 2026, concluding six years of dedicated leadership marked by growth, collaboration, and a deep commitment to student success and community partnerships.
“Serving as the President at Mid has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life,” shared President Hood. “Every day, I was inspired by the dedication, creativity, and heart of our faculty, staff, and students, as well as the unwavering support of our alumni, donors, and community partners.”
The College experienced continued progress and institutional stability during President Hood’s tenure, marked by ongoing enhancements to academic offerings, student support, community engagement, and campus facilities.
Throughout his presidency, the College advanced key initiatives that strengthened its connection to the region and supported student success, reflecting the collective efforts of faculty, staff, and long‑standing College leadership. His retirement comes as the institution is well‑positioned for its next chapter of growth and opportunity.
Over the coming weeks, the Board of Trustees will begin discussions about a succession plan, with a focus on advancing the College’s strategic priorities.

President Hood will continue serving through June 30, 2026, supporting the transition and ongoing initiatives.
