Basic Dog Training

This class will teach you how to work with your dog around distractions in Come, Stay, and Walking. You'll also work as a team on Greetings, Heel in fast and slow, Leave it, and Back-Up. Plus, you'll get to introduce your dogs to some fun tricks, basic manners, and much much more.

This class meets 6pm - 7pm Thursdays January 16, 23, 30, February 6, & 13, 2025.

Guidelines

  • Two handlers are permitted with each dog

Must have

  • 4 or 6-foot leash
  • Treats

Not allowed

  • Aggressive dogs are not allowed.
  • Two handlers are permitted with each dog.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early for the first class with proof of shots records.
  • Prong collars, choke chains, and retractable leashes
  • For safety purposes, children under 5 years of age are not allowed to attend class.

Instructor: Michele Henderson

Michele has been training dogs for over 15 years and has owned dogs of many different shapes and sizes herself. Michele holds titles in many dog sports such as canine freestyle and dog dancing. She holds a 4-time world championship title in dog dancing. She now travels and performs with the Coke-A-Cola dog team performing with 8 dogs in dog dancing, agility, and high jumping.
