Annual Employee Awards

Each year, the Mid community comes together to recognize team members who have gone above and beyond in the previous year. Nominations are due by March 15, and recipients are recognized at an awards presentation in April. Learn more about the awards available and submit a nomination below!

The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes a faculty member or adjunct instructor who demonstrates exemplary leadership and dedication to serving the College community while performing their duties in alignment with the College’s mission, vision, and core values.

This award honors a full-time faculty or adjunct instructor (Mid employee or anyone on assignment through a third party). The recipient will receive an award of $1,000.

Criteria for nominating a colleague for the Excellence in Teaching Award are listed below. Nominees must...

  • Have been employed or on appointment for at least two years at Mid.
  • Have never received the award previously.
  • Nominations are submitted without the nominee’s knowledge.

The Excellence in Teaching Award Committee reviews submitted nominations and recommends a recipient to the Associate VP of Human Resources.

  • Excellence in Teaching Award Committee Membership includes a Mid Foundation Team Member, Human Resources Team Member, and the Provost.
