TEAS Entrance Exam
The TEAS Entrance Exam is required for admission to Mid’s Nursing Program. The exam begins exactly at the scheduled time; arrive 15 minutes early with your TEAS payment receipt, pencil, and photo ID.

- Students may either pay when submitting the registration form or pay the $100 testing fee at Student Services on the Harrison or Mt. Pleasant Campuses. You must pay BEFORE your scheduled assessment time.
On your scheduled TEAS Entrance Exam day, arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Students need to bring a pencil, picture ID, and TEAS payment receipt. Students may not enter the room once the exam has started and must register for a different session, if available.
Students may take the TEAS Entrance Exam a maximum of two times. There must be at least four months between attempts.

The TEAS Entrance Exam consists of four academic exams. All applicants to the Nursing Program must complete the exam before admission.
You have 3.5 hours to complete the exam. Applicants must schedule the exam online prior to the testing date. Students must arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time with their payment receipt and photo ID.

- Key ideas and details, craft and structure, and integration of knowledge and ideas.
- 45 Questions
- Mathematics
- Numbers and algebra, and measurement and data.
- 38 Questions
- Science
- Human anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, and scientific reasoning.
- 50 Questions
- English & Language Usage
- Conventions of standard English, grammar, sentence structure, spelling, language knowledge, word choice, and effective communication.
- 37 Questions
Approximately 20% of the questions can be something other than traditional multiple choice, including the following.
- Multiple Select — select all correct answers
- Fill-in-the-blank
- Hot Spot — identify an area on an image
- Ordered Response — put items in the correct sequence
There is no partial credit. For example, if a multiple-select question requires three correct answers and the student only selects two, the question is scored as incorrect.
Register for the exam using the online form linked above on this page, and choose the date you want to take it. After you register, go to Student Services at either the Harrison or Mt. Pleasant Campus, pay the $100.00 fee, and get a receipt. Keep the receipt, as you need to present it on the day of the exam.
You can purchase the ATI TEAS Study Guide 2026-2027 at each Mid Bookstore or online. A free practice test is also available.
On exam day, arrive 15 minutes early. Bring only photo identification and a payment receipt. We will provide testing supplies, including paper and a pencil. Do not bring any personal items to testing. Calculators are not allowed during the exam. The exam is fully administered on a computer.
Students may retake the test once but must wait four months to retest. Students retest with a different version of the exam— no student receives the same exam questions twice. A retesting fee of $100.00 is charged. Students can take the TEAS Entrance Exam a maximum of twice. Scores from other schools are not accepted.
