This Associate in Applied Science Pathway provides you with the opportunity to gain the skills needed to manage an existing small business, or the guidance to begin the adventure as an entrepreneur and open your own business. Courses within this pathway expand upon the Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship Training Credential, and include an internship component which allows you to obtain real-world, on-the-job experience using the skills you've learned through your coursework. An emphasis is placed on developing skills that involve both critical thinking and creative approaches to solving business problems.
This Training Credential Pathway offers you the opportunity to acquire skills to manage your own company or to supervise an employing firm’s daily operations by learning and applying basic business principles. Upon completing this credential, you'll be able to manage a firm’s operations, which include developing goals and effectively managing firm’s resources – capital, financial, and human. This training credential may also be applied toward the Associate of Applied Science in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship Degree.
This Certificate Pathway offers those seeking to advance within their current position, or considering a career change an opportunity to acquire skills to assist them in making that transition. This Training Credential Pathway expands upon the knowledge and skills included in the Business Management & Marketing Level I Certificate. If you pursue this credential, you'll acquire a more in depth knowledge of specific tools and theories that you can then apply to managing a business's day-to-day operations. This training credential may also be applied toward Mid's Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship Training Credential, or the Associate of Applied Science in Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship Degree.

A new articulation agreement between Mid Michigan College and Wayne State University allows you to follow a prescribed plan of study to transfer up to 82 credits to WSU while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the Mike Ilitch School of Business, saving between $14,000 and $22,000 in tuition.
