Jacobson and Kreckman Reappointed to MMCC's Board of Trustees

Dec 10, 2014 — The Mid Michigan Community College Foundation’s program, Students of Promise, recently inducted its ninth group of students. Twenty-three seventh grade students, selected from Beaverton, Clare, Farwell, Gladwin, and Harrison school districts, were welcomed into the program with a formal ceremony and reception. MMCC Receives $25,000 from Consumers Energy Foundation
Nov 19, 2014 — Mid Michigan Community College has received a $25,000 grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation in support of its new Morey Technical Education Center. The $3.4 Million Technical Center, located on MMCC’s Mt. Pleasant campus, was made possible through community support and the generous contributions of local donors and charitable organizations. MMCC Inducts Honor Students
Nov 6, 2014 — On Friday, October 10th, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society inducted 48 new members into the Alpha Omicron Omicron Chapter at Mid Michigan Community College. To join the honor society, students must have a 3.5 Grade Point Average or higher and have completed at least 12 credit hours at MMCC. Continue reading
MMCC Theatre to Present "The Mousetrap"
Nov 6, 2014 — Tickets are still available for the MMCC Theatre production of The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap, a murder mystery play, opened in the West End of London in 1952 and has been running continuously since then. It has the longest initial run of any play in history, with its 25,000th performance taking place in 2012. Continue reading

MMCC Barbeque a Success
Sep 29, 2014 — Nearly 1,700 people attended Mid Michigan Community College’s Annual Barbeque and Fall Festival on September 14, 2014. The event was successful again this year in raising scholarship money for MMCC students. In its twenty-two years, the event has raised over $600,000 to assist students. Continue reading

MMCC Trustee Becomes an Officer of the MI Community College Association
Sep 15, 2014 — Doug Jacobson, Chair of Mid Michigan Community College’s Board of Trustees, recently received a new appointment on the Michigan Community College Association’s (MCCA) Board of Directors. Ribbon Cutting for MMCC's Center for Liberal Arts and Business in Mt. Pleasant
Sep 15, 2014 — Mid Michigan Community College will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Center for Liberal Arts and Business on its Mt. Pleasant Campus on October 1st at 9:30am on the corner of Broadway and Summerton. The Center for Liberal Arts and Business opened for classes in August. Continue reading

Wilson Receives 2014 Witbeck Scholarship
Sep 11, 2014 — Walt Wilson was this year’s recipient of the Witbeck Scholarship to Mid Michigan Community College. This renewable scholarship provides full tuition for up to 12 credit hours, fees, and required text books at MMCC. Continue reading
