Course Fees Varies by course to defray the cost of special equipment or materials.
Enrollment Fee A fee is required each semester a student enrolls, with the amount based upon date of initial enrollment. The fee is $50 during the designated Early Registration period, and $100 during Late Registration.
Facilities Fee A $10 per contact hour fee is assessed on all courses offered on the Harrison or Mt. Pleasant campuses as well as courses that are independent study, clinical, or co-op.
Student Activities Fee A $9.50 per contact hour fee is assessed to all students.
Technology Fee A $17 per contact hour fee is assessed to all students.

Mid Michigan College's in-district area includes the public school districts of Beaverton, Clare, Farwell, Gladwin, Harrison, and Mt. Pleasant (beginning in the Fall 2021 semester). Residents of these school districts pay a property tax to support the College, and subsequently pay a lower tuition rate.
Students are considered IN-DISTRICT if they meet one of the following criteria:
Students may be asked to verify residency at the time of each official registration by providing an appropriate document such as a driver's license, voter registration card, Secretary of State Identification Card, lease agreement, or property tax receipt for the tax period immediately preceding registration, or by procedures as authorized by the President. (Note: A PO Box will not be accepted as an In-District address. )
That is correct. The residents of the Mt. Pleasant Public Schools voted on May 4, 2021 to join the College's in-district service area. Beginning in the Fall 2021 semester, students living in the Mt. Pleasant Public School district will pay the in-district tuition rate. The College's in-district area consists of the public school districts of Beaverton, Clare, Farwell, Gladwin, Harrison, and Mt. Pleasant (beginning in the Fall 2021 semester).
In May 2021, voters passed two proposals that allowed the Mt. Pleasant School District to join Beaverton, Clare, Farwell, Gladwin, and Harrison as part of Mid's in-district service area.
To complete the form, you must provide residency documentation of your in-district address. Accepted forms of documentation include a driver's license, voter registration card, Secretary of State identification Card, lease agreement, or property tax receipt for the tax period immediately prior to registration.
It's important to note that residency changes must be made no later than the final tuition due date of the semester. After that deadline, the tuition rate charged will stand for the semester, and residency changes could be requested for future semesters.

Cost of Attendance (COA) is the estimated amount it will cost you to go to college at Mid. It is not necessarily the amount you will end up paying. It includes tuition, books, housing, transportation, and other personal expenses. On a case-by-case basis, adjustments may be made to a student's COA based on program of study, dependent care expenses, and/or the allowance for a one-time purchase of a computer.
Expected Family Contribution (EFC) incorporates your family's income, assets, and benefits along with considering your family size and the number of family members attending college. EFC is not necessarily the amount you will end up paying. It is calculated according to a formula established by federal law. You will see your EFC on your Student Aid Report (SAR), which is the report you receive after you have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Financial need is determined by subtracting a student’s Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from their Mid cost of attendance budget. Mid must consider all sources of financial assistance and subtract the estimated amount of all assistance from the student’s estimated total financial need.
To determine a student’s eligibility for need-based assistance, Mid must consider the student’s EFC. The EFC is calculated by the U.S. Department of Education from the information submitted in the student’s FAFSA. The EFC measures a family’s financial strength and determines the students' eligibility for federal student aid. Mid's financial aid team must use the EFC calculated by the U.S. Department of Education. However, when appropriate adjustments may be made. Contact Mid's Financial Aid team for more information.
